Hiring Rules
Clean any grease from the hotplate before storing it.
Fill the tank with diesel before returning. There is a petrol station just 2 minutes away from our location.
Do not smoke in the vehicle. Any evidence of smoking will result in a deep-cleaning fee.
Pets are allowed for an additional charge during booking. Please use a pet seat cover or crate to protect the interior.
Do not store fish or fishing bait in the car. A cleaning fee will apply for any odors or residue left behind.
Do not exceed the speed limit. Drive responsibly to ensure your safety and protect the vehicle.
Clean up after your pets. Additional charges will apply for excessive pet hair or odors.
Only use approved fuel (diesel). Using the wrong fuel type will result in significant repair costs charged to the hirer.
Ensure all camping equipment is cleaned before returning. Any missing or damaged items may result in additional charges.
No unauthorized towing. The vehicle is not to be used for towing unless agreed upon in the rental contract.
No off-road racing or reckless driving. This includes donuts, drifting, or reckless dune driving.
Hirer must be 21 years of age or older. A valid driver’s license is required.
No unauthorized modifications or repairs. Any issues must be reported to Open Shell Adventures immediately.
Additional Information
Minimum hire length: 3 days.
Pick-up can be arranged between Aveley and Willetton.
Delivery to Perth Airport: $75.
Drop-off at Perth Airport: $75.
Emergency support: 24/7 roadside assistance is included with your rental.
Open Shell Adventures Guidelines
Welcome to Open Shell Adventures! We’re excited to be part of your journey. To make the most of your trip and keep Oyster Mk2 in excellent condition for future explorers, please follow these important guidelines.
Rates
$210 per day on normal days.
$235 per day during peak season.
Kilometer Allowance
300 km per day included.
$0.25 per km over the allocated range.
Planning Your Trip
We encourage you to share your travel plans with us so we can provide up-to-date information on road conditions, camping spots, and any potential hazards. Oyster Mk2 is one of the toughest 4WD campers in Australia, and we want to ensure you have the best possible experience.
In special cases, we may grant access to restricted areas based on your off-road driving experience—at our full discretion.

Enjoy exploring WA with Oyster Mk2, but please treat both the vehicle and the environment with care so that others can enjoy it too!
Return Guidelines
Return the camper clean and ready for the next adventure.
Strip the bed sheets and leave them ready for washing.
Perform a quick high-pressure clean at a DIY Rhino Wash.
IMPORTANT: Keep ample distance when washing the vinyl-wrapped areas.
Do not wash the rooftop tent. Simply brush off dust and debris.
Clean any grease from the hotplate before storing it.
Fill the tank with diesel before returning. A nearby petrol station is just 2 minutes away.
Return all camping equipment clean and in working condition.
Inspect the vehicle before drop-off. Report any damages or issues to avoid additional fees.
All rubbish must be removed from the vehicle before returning.

Please DO NOT:

❌ Go through drive-throughs, underground parking, or automatic car washes. The vehicle is too tall.
❌ Store fish or fishing bait in the car. A cleaning fee will apply.
❌ Exceed the speed limit. Always follow road safety laws.
❌ Drive the vehicle into saltwater or deep water. Insurance DOES NOT cover water damage.
❌ Stop or park under the high tide water level at any beach.
Important Notice: Water Damage is NOT Covered by Insurance
Driving through water, including beach access tracks, river crossings, and saltwater contact, is at your own risk and not covered by insurance.
If the vehicle is found to have water damage, the full repair cost will be charged to the hirer.
